Stonor Solstice - Sep 2007
|
Fantastic, beautiful, the best ever - what gratifying expletives for 'STONOR SOLSTICE.' It was a great honour and pleasure for BB&O Area of NAFAS to stage a most successful Festival of Flowers in the magnificent setting of the Stonor Park Estate, the home of Lord and Lady Camoys. The house, chapel and gardens offered the inspiration to each and everyone of the arrangers to 'come up with the goods'. As with the staging of any event such as this - there are hitches, but these were all overcome to produce a truly wonderful spectacle. Financially it exceeded our wildest dreams and a cheque for £5,500.00 was presented at the Area AGM to Susan Fotherby from The Chiltern Centre For Disabled Children. The Area Officers and Festival Committee were thrilled with the outcome and wish to thank everyone involved for all their input towards making 'Stonor Soltice' a most successful occasion.
